| THE SEAL OF APOKRYPHON |
+==================================================+
They will try to twist this. Expect it. Copy these pages and share them freely — but an altered copy is not this work, and it does not speak for Apokryphon. Nothing added. Nothing taken away.
Every genuine copy of Gnostic_Awakening.txt is signed by Apokryphon. The public key fingerprint is:
F320 26CF 01A7 858B 9271 2982 38A5 18B6 8F30 3329
1. Download the files
Public key Signature for Gnostic_Awakening.txt Gnostic_Awakening.txt SHA256SUMS.txt SHA256SUMS.txt.asc
Put them in one folder and open a terminal there.
2. Check the signature (strongest)
Linux: GnuPG is usually installed already (sudo apt install gnupg if not). Mac: install GPG Suite or run brew install gnupg. Windows: install Gpg4win (gpg4win.org), then use Command Prompt or the Kleopatra app.
gpg --import apokryphon_public_key.asc gpg --verify Gnostic_Awakening.txt.asc Gnostic_Awakening.txt
A true copy answers Good signature from "Apokryphon". Check that the fingerprint gpg prints matches the one above. (A warning that the key is "not certified with a trusted signature" is normal — the fingerprint match is what counts.) BAD signature means the file was changed.
In Kleopatra: File → Import the public key, then File → Decrypt/Verify and choose Gnostic_Awakening.txt.asc.
3. Or compare the SHA-256 fingerprint
sha256sum Gnostic_Awakening.txt (Linux) shasum -a 256 Gnostic_Awakening.txt (Mac) certutil -hashfile Gnostic_Awakening.txt SHA256 (Windows)
The result must equal the line for Gnostic_Awakening.txt in SHA256SUMS.txt. That list is itself signed: gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.txt.asc SHA256SUMS.txt.
If even one character differs, it is not the original.
